Orange Cyrillic set from 21kb. Darn nice and thick. Legends are sharp and pleasing. Sounds and feels great with Hyperglides. Goodbye enjoyPBT. Hello Xiami!

If they would only replace those windows icons, I’d buy in.

Alright, I tried these side-by-side in a tester and I do have some impressions for you.

Compared with Boba U4s, the TTC Silent Bluish Whites:

  • Are louder (but not loud; bottom-out makes more noise than U4s, travel makes less)

  • Have a more solid / crisp bottom and top-out

  • Have a more crisp / index-y feeling bump; round, but less round than the Boba’s

  • Have a more clean-feeling (and sounding) leaf

  • Have a higher resting and bottom-out position, but pretty much the same travel distance

These have quickly become my favorite silent tactile, bar none.

Egding-out both U4s and Silent Box Browns as my silent tactile go-tos, SBWs exist in a happy medium between them in terms of characteristics.

Quality-wise, I have to say I think it has them both beat. >.> Low-key fantastic, especially considering they’re like that right from the bag.

TTC has been killin’ it…

I can’t guarantee you’ll feel the same way about them, but if you like U4s (or SBBs), I think they’re worth a try at minimum.

Well now I need to go buy 110 of a thing. Thanks.

I’ll settle with 47

I feel like we need to have a mini GB with these just to make MK.com’s pricing more reasonable

QK65 White/Gold. More like light brown than gold but neatly packed and came with a case. Can’t argue with pricing either.

UPDATE: Here is a detail that annoyed me a lot: QK65 is not detected by VIA until you import a PCB-specific Keymap file , link to which is in their build guide.

UPDATE2: DO NOT INSTALL little rubber thingies that comes with OwlLabs stabs to put under stab wires. They can interfere with stabs, impeding upstroke. I wasted a lot of time because I didn’t think they would interfere with stab operation. Wrong!

So you were one of the people that got an early shipment! I didn’t expect them to be sending some out this quick… that’s awesome. Please post more pics when you get a chance!

Awesome! Still waiting for mine.
But the keycaps I wanna try first have arrived. It’s my first PBT set.

FYI, my case’s heavy back panel surface felt kind of rough, like they skipped on polishing, enough to bother me whenever I picked up the case. To fix that, I used a really fine grit micro-mesh. Now it’s feathery smooth and a pleasure to touch.

Man, that’s a good thing to know. Did you post this already in the qwertykeys discord?

Nope.

A sticker for my jar of Corals.

Kinda bummed I missed out on these. I’m really interested in the flex cuts in the PCB.

A lot of boards that can be used in VIA don’t have their configs merged into the official repo. The VIA team has been slow to do this in the past, but the RAMA split made it even worse. Granted, it is a private codebase, and the VIA team is under no obligation to merge anything in without compensation. This is why a true open source QMK on-the-fly GUI configurator project is so important to the community – something like VIAL.

What if i didn’t like U4s? I felt they were too mushy for me - do these feel significantly less mushy (to the point of solid?) or still a little mushy?
