Great recommendation from @Deadeye. They are great stock remind me of silent Topre with a little bit of noise/scratch. Definitely potential to dethrone my go to boba u4s. Any lube film or spring recommendations?
I love those switches - glad youâre enjoying them as well!
Me too.
Until they do, Matrix 0-1 Tactiles have 5 pins and seem to have the same or at least a very similar leaf, if you have any of those laying around. Also a big fan of those; theyâre the loud-and-clacky version of the Bluish White, pretty much.
It was the Bluish White that made me fall in love with the 2-stage springs so I would keep them or get 2-stage in another weight. 3203 lube and kbdfans switch foam.
Thanks! I can definitely relate, Alpha was one of the makers I could never score a W with too, up till this last raffle I entered. Keep at it, itâll come through eventually bud!
This actually came yesterday (sorry) but turns out its 29th birthday is today!
Yes, thatâs a Model M⌠and yes, it has a Dell logo. When USA-based Model M production was given to the then-newly formed Lexmark, they immediately looked towards producing these keyboards for other companies and clearly Dell was a buyer. This keyboard is P/N 1397651 and has a detachable SDL to PS/2 cable. Despite the branding, itâs otherwise the same as a standard IBM P/N 1391401 from the same generation.
Got an NCR80 plastic kit today. I bought directly from YMDK instead of AliExpress. Whatâs crazy is how fast it shipped. I ordered it on a Thursday night and received it the next Monday morning.
Recieved JWICK samples today, so far from first impression this are really really good.
Samples were drenched in factory oil, very smooth, the switches almost ignore off center presses, almost no spring crunch/ping, housing doesnât look like it needs films, and wobble is decent, not great though.
No big difference from the yellow and black switches aside for cosmetic difference, the spring might start heavier on the yellow JWICK but theyâre quite similar.
Overall this looks to be fantastic stock switch, though I can see why they cost so low, while they perform great, they feel somewhat cheap, canât really explain it, but I can definitly recommend this!
Worth their price which IIRC is around $15 for 70, if youâre looking for standard linear switches that donât need much work, very smooth and nice sound signature definitly pick this.
