Indeed, but I’m not sure yet what to do with them.
Somehow I feel they “must” be used in a project…

The WOB keys look super clean: very dark black, little to no font fuzziness and minimal shrinkage.
Can’t wait to receive mine !
Lol! Welcome to the club.
Capacitive buckling springs?
I love that little blue switch on top but I don’t know if I could resist flipping it every time I use the keyboard. The layout is also pretty interesting, looks like someone separated the mainboard from an F XT and separated the rest of the keys.
808keys Peepo in Taro colorway. Now I’ve gotta find someone to commission a peepoJuice at some point.
Aye, it’s in the Model F family! The layout is designed to replicate the one used on earlier IBM 3270 family keyboards from the '70s (3178 is a later member of the 3270 family, designed to be a cheaper replacement for the “OG” 3270s).
Surprised by the fast shipping, but i got my Outemu cream pink. They also put in a sample of the red panda, milk peach linear and the new cream yellow silent tactile.
They come with quite some lube on the stem rails and they are pretty smooth. decently minimal stem wobble, even better than some of my ktt switches and i haven’t been able to hear any spring ping on them so the springs seem to be decent too.
The cream yellow silent tactiles seem to be pretty similar to U4 or red pandas in terms of bump. but i’m not good with tactiles so i rather not say much about them.
UPD : Comparison between U4 and Cream Yellow, if anyone wants to know. Amount of lube is absurd on these.
Also, the top housings seem to be a little more loose/relaxed compared to boba tops, so they are a little better for frankenswitches.
Is the background on which the stems lie a leaf of nori salad?
Some shims, pads, and Heeb-keys* from PovertyKeys; photographed atop the waste bin in honor of their trash panda mascot.
*I have some Jewish relatives, and I’m building one a keyboard - pretty sure they aren’t expecting Hebrew characters on it!
Edit: also the BT works great!
Technically yesterday but I subject everyone to my crappy nighttime office lighting enough as is, so I waited until this morning. OTC MoDo Light! I still need to mount it to give it a fair assessment but they seem pretty respectable at first pass. One interesting (to me) observation: the inner packaging is identical to what NovelKeys use.
Try making some Ergo Clears with the 63.5 G Progressive. It feels as if it’s uniquely attuned to the action of the Clear, moreso than with MX Brown.
You’ll want to break-in the Clears for a month, ideally. Then, you can relube with 3204 [or even 3203] using a paintbrush. If done carefully, they are very soft switches. Feel like Browns, but with a greater bump.
Might be a candidate for 320,000 - 600,000 repetitions in a polishing machine before lubing.
Some guy recently was trying to find out what kind of switches were in the new Logitech line of mice.
He said that the Pebble, M650 wireless, the M50x, and the POP mouse used new quiet switches.
The M100 doesn’t, and maybe the similar B100 doesn’t either. So he wants to swap quiet switches into his M100. Do you know what the name of the new Logitech quiet switches are?
as the post I was replying to states, we are soldering in Kaihl silents, I do not know what new switches logitech uses.
