I got my Sirius in and realized I don’t have a PCB for it… I have a few keyboards now that I have like 85% of sitting around. I ordered some foams from mkultra last week and that’s the biggest thing I’m waiting for to get some of these going.

Noice. I’ve heard good things about Instant60 if you’re into hot-swap PCB.

I actually ended up going for it’s little brother, the AN-C 60. I like hotswap, but it’s not a huge priority for me, and I don’t need backlighting.

Makes sense. Hot-swap comes in handy for me because I do a lot of modding and tinkering with switches but I understand it’s not for everyone.

I have two with hot swap and I do play around a bit with those ones, but I also haven’t had the best experience with them and don’t swap them out nearly as much as I thought I would.

Ha! Reminds me of when I finally got my 268.1AG from xondat. Except… I did order a PCB, he just forgot to put it in the box. That board looks great. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it

I’ve heard pretty much just good things, I can’t wait to put it together. I’ve Got switches and stabs ready, waiting on the PCB and a case foam now.

I love my Sirius, a word of warning - This may very well just be limited to my case, but I had to carve out the hole where the USB plug goes in to make it wider so that I could actually plug in a USB C cable to the DZ60.

Last weeks haul.

@evangs catalyst has arrived pretty much in sync with EPBT 2048 and foams from @MKUltraCorp. I ordered both foams in black but it shouldnt matter visually as the plate foam is only visible from the sides and i planed to seal those with silicone anyway.

Ill try to do a propper buildlog since i really enjoy reading those.

Oh, that’s good to know. The plastic is pretty soft, so it seems like it shouldn’t be too bad to file out discreetly around the port, if need be.

Those keycaps have some charm. I have a Planck with similar keycaps (the circle inside square).

The Devlin ones? I would love to see them make a full size set of thosee .

Backlit Tai Hao’s I won in a giveaway! I always suspected all these giveaways being fixed, thanks CapsUnlocked for proving me wrong!

Now to figure out which board I’m gonna put these on.

An old Chicony KB-5160 that I grabbed off of e-bay came in today. It’s a pretty unusual variant that uses vintage Cherry MX Whites, that is what made me go for it. It was pretty dirty as you can see, but is definitely salvageable. I already got the caps soaking with some dental tabs & case all cleaned up, the switches, plates, & PCB are another story though. Switches will definitely need a good ultrasonic cleaning, then I still have yet to test if the PCB is working still as claimed. All in all though for what I paid I’m fairly happy with the purchase. I got some rare vintage switches, some decent caps (they’re DCS not OG double shots :frowning: ), & possibly a nice project board!

That IS a nice project board… but those Shift and Enter keys hurt me inside.
