Damn those weights are hawt
It is a very nice board overall ![]()
We may do a dedicated thread for all F1-8X V2 builds, plenty have been sold by Geon (close to 4000 units).
Just a Seneca. Nothing big.

Yeaā¦nothing to see hereā¦
This is aesthetically amazing. Travertine is a great colour, and you are showing Oxide Gray to be better than the publicity photos.
Even the cable is great-looking.
If more conventional boards take anything from this, Iād be interested in how that typing angle works out in real-life.
Youāll have to tell us what itās like to type on those switches!
Iām used to the flat angle on his boards so itās comfortable to me. Also, I generally hover and donāt use a wrist rest.
The switches are simply amazing. Itās topre but more refined. Less wobble, more uniform per switch and delightfully poppy.
The most shocking thing is how everything just fades into the background when you type. Nothing sticks out. Itās so even and uniform. And yes, the stabilized keys are the best Iāve ever tried out.
The story behind those stabilizers was an amazing read. I was curious what first impressions would be like. Sounds like theyāre living up to the effort put into them.
Gotta say that the quality of boards from these no-name companies is improving. idk how the QC is on it but it looks nice enough to go toe-to-toe with a Logitech or even a GMK87

I guess thereās something to be said for handcrafted total-QC even in a keyboard.
Keygeek Little Ghosts arrived from Milktooth. Looking forward to trying these in the Altair-X later. First impression in hand is stable and consistent, rather deep clack bottom out, and basically no stem wobble. For being very light (50g bottom out), they donāt seem excessively so. I wanted to try something very light in an ortho split, since my usual spring weights seem heavy.
I saw a little on the switches, but not too much. How would you compare these to the Naevy ECs? That seems like a potential analogue to me.
I donāt have the naevy ones. But I do own the raed HE switches. I like them a lot. The Raeds feel less tactile, have slightly more wobble, and have a much shorter feeling travel distance. I donāt know if the Naevies feel the same as the Raeds.
Not in the mail, but my wife and I took a day trip to Grand Rapids and hit up the malls out there and I happened to stumble across the Star Wars The Black Series - Darth Malak at a local store. I wasnāt even aware they had released one, but I had to grab it as Revan and Malak are two of my favorite characters and Iāve easily dumped 500+ hours in Knights of the Old Republic over the years from replay after replay.
My wife also bought me a Rode Wireless Go II and the new Jango Fett LEGO set for my birthday.
Awesome! I just got my shipping notification for mine yesterday, should have by mon or tues next week I figuring, hype! Looking forward to seeing your build when you get around to it!
One of my colleague also just received his own, in a very nice navy color ![]()
What colorway you picked ?
I went with the raptor colorway (black top. red bottom). Pretty much all the colors Iāve seen so far looked really good though.
Classy from the top, agressive from the sides ![]()
This will be interesting to see the keycaps you will select.
Yeah thatās the one drawback going two tone, your cap selection gets a little restricted. Although I have a few ideals that should work with it!
Got a batch of Wuque x HMX Arowana Blacks, a batch of Keygeek Oats, 2 sets of Typeplus stabs, & one of those flat TX switch pullers in from Divinkey today! Both switches are super nice! Theyāre both full travel, on the deeper sounding end of the spectrum, & have a great factory lube job. Both of them can definitely be used stock IMO. Iām a little miffed at DK though, I got my shipping notice for my F1-8X V2 on the first, I ordered this stuff on the 2nd or 3rd. I already got this order, but my F1 is still waiting to even leave the DK warehouse⦠Oh well, them the breaks sometimes I guess. Oh I also got a new 2TB Samsung 870 Evo SATA SSD in from Amazon today. I desperately needed that, with games getting bigger & bigger nowadays I was running super short on storage space!
