I have the same feeling about anything under 3.5mm travel. It just seems to short, feels funny & awkward in use to me. However from 3.5mm & above the travel doesn’t bother me nearly as much. I still much prefer full travel 4mm with MX switches, but don’t have any issues with slightly less travel. I think 3.5mm is my limit since that is what full travel for SKCM/L ALPS switches which I have become very comfortable using. Either way I would say you should be safe with switches that have 3.5mm travel & above. Even though we’re talking about tenths of a millimeter the difference in feel between 3.2mm travel & 3.6mm travel seems huge to me & I’d assume that is the common opinion.
FLX Virgo - the GB for EC PCB & Plate has just begun and I’m in a place where only customs with non-OEM (Realforce/Leopold/HHKB) layouts can excite me
This will be my third raw alu board showing up this year (hopefully…). There’s just something so industrial about it.
Also, if I don’t like it, I can always get it Cerekote’d or anodized, right? ![]()
Nice! Gonna order mine next week to keep the finances in check. Planning on going with the black top/red bottom one I think.
Haha, did it also !
With anodized silver top, grey bottom and winkey.

So I forgot I had some cash stashed for a rainy day & happened to find after work today. Then immediately spent it…
Darn nice looking board. But, with two boards on the way, ordering another would be difficult to justify.
That’s where I’m at too. It’s such a nice board, but my wife would kill me.
I mean, isn’t that what the rainy day cash stash is for?!

pls send halp
See how it is… ![]()
Arc60 is such an amazing board! I am a big fan of the plateless build on them, but really there is no bad way to build one.
Nice switch choices as well!!
In the mean time, just eat ramen and drink tap water. It’ll all be worth it!!

Thanks lol never know what switches to buy. Might have to try some nixies soon and nk creams whenever they restock.
Gonna go enjoy my ice cube soup now ![]()
I ordered way too much stuff again. It’s starting to be a common thing now. ![]()
- Geekark 9009 with Space Cadet alphas and Text Mods.
- Switches… LODK wind chime, A-Key F-Switch blue, KTT retro red, space studio loopy, togar gorilla and outemu eureka switches, with more switch orders to come. I’m at 119 full sets of switches now. I think i need to stop at some point… right? right?!
- Another G80-1800 PCB, this time ANSI soldered version, also with solenoid and buzzer support.
- I’m looking to find this one interesting Membrane keyboard on taobao/aliexpress again. It had a similar layout to the Ikki68 or Magicforce68 but as a Membrane keyboard, and i wanted to mod it for fun. But i can’t seem to find it or remember the name/brand. V400 or something, maybe?
- That taobao M0110 plastic kit. I love the idea of vintage keyboards re-made like this. Wish i could get an original M0110 as well, since i really love the HHKB-ish layouts, but those prices for good condition boards…
- Maybe an NCR80 WKL. I already have a G80-1800, but, you know how it is.
- Probably more. It’s a problem.

Oooh I keep hearing bout that m0110. Got any pics? I think I saw you post a picture before (?), is it the one that’s super deep? Feel like SA or other tall profile keycaps would look super good… maybe I need to pick one up.
Taobao M0110 knockoff is poorly constructed, just two pieces of creaky plastic. Acoustics is OK-ish with right switch but space bar sound is clunky (could be the stab). Recent cheap yet well-made boards like Neo65 and Neo80 are better options.
yes, that was me, but it was the alu version from taobao. there are also a few plastic replicas of it out there, so i want to try those too.
which m0110 replica kit did you try? there are a few different ones out there. one by vortex, one with no badge, one with a golden apple badge, etc. and they all seem different in construction and quality. and i’m not sure if i would call them better options. they aren’t m0110 after all.
I got the Keebox one which came out just before Vortex version which I think is a lot better in quality and design.
