Unfortunately MT3 Retro was canceled and never produced. SA Retro is out there, but the alphas are currently sold out on SPKeyboards. They might make more eventually, since most of the other kits are still in stock.

No problem! It’s very confusing; they did the same with some other canceled sets like MT3 Garnet, and there’s no way to really tell if they really did run or not.

I’m not too much into the hobby these days (hence the list of things I’m trying to part with), but I’m always on the hunt for new stabs to try out in future rebuilds and such. Saw Omni restocked Knight Stabs that I’ve heard so much good about that I decided to snag a couple along with a lube pen to just keep on hand for the future.

Both great pick ups! Knight stabs & TypePlus have been my gotos recently, even over TX stabs which I really like. The lube pens are big time savers too.

Finally did it. I ordered a 5lb grab bag from Signature Plastics. It feels more like a rite of passage or a toll than a prudent purchase, but I’m also not above a little “SA Unicorn Vomit” base kit.

Ordered 2 sets of the PCB snap, 1 set of the key snap mounts, & a batch of Gat Khonsus to try out. I’m wondering if the PCB snap system can keep the dual mount feel while opening up the acoustics a bit on the Spyder. Also want to try them on a few different boards of mine.

Totally forgot these existed. I should give them a shot as well. I am assuming they are harder durometer since you use less of them and they have less contact points?

Yeah, 60a is the lowest for PCBsnap & Keysnap has a 50a. For the price I figure they’re worth a shot. I’m most interested in doing some platless builds with these.
Grabbed some of the yellow ones with store credit 
. The 50A blue ones went fast!

The keysnap might work for that as they attach around the switch as well have the PCB slot into them. When I get mine I’ll upload some pics & let you know if it would be feasible to use keysnaps without a PCB.

Looking at both of them, I’m inclined to think they could be a good tool to have on-hand if you designed around them with some flanges or something, but they wouldn’t be much use with a simple plate full of hand-wired switches. One thing that does come to mind, though dimensions would need to be checked, is using the KeySnaps with 6 Amoeba single-key PCBs. You’d then have several boards’ worth from a small order of Amoebas.

Using the Amoebas is a good idea. I always forget about those when considering a hand-wired project.
