It’s a pretty good looking board. I don’t buy fullsize boards b/c I don’t have room or need for them. But I have to say, if they would have gone for a more authentic look with a funky bottom row like the inspiration, I would have joined the group buy

I was just thinking if there were Diversity TKL extras…
Although my issue with that board is that I don’t have a kit with enough keycaps for any of those layouts.

I do find it interesting that a colorway with such a specific history with the company GMK looks so good in Signature Plastics, but if I remember the previous conversation, I think you’ll like it. The color intensity and texture on SP ABS will make a very good match for a Lego theme.
Do make sure to visually check that everything is there. QC on the caps themselves is usually quite good, but the sets that have been sitting with Drop are from an era when assembling the kits was a bit hit or miss and there might be one or two oopsies. Drop/Corsair will make it right, though not always in a way that seems convenient to a normal human.

I am totally on board with QC’ing everything for sure. I am actually just shocked that the set was even still available. It was relatively cheap. I mean a 3rd of the original price was a steal.

Finally ordered missing components for my Adept trackball build, will be doing the open source PCB by weteor and the anybal case (not tested in that combination for now). Biggest concern was always getting the right ball, which kept the project on my pile of shame.
Now, AliExpress to the rescue:

In regards to the Adept trackball, do you mind sharing a bit how you use one of those? Meaning, where do you put your hand since the ball is in the middle?
I’ve been using and Kensington Ergo Vertical for a while and it just broke so I’ve downgraded to the Logi Ergo (not really a bad trackball but it’s just frustrating that Kensington stopped making the Ergo Vertical). Since the ball is on the side there’s sorta a natural place to put your hand while you use it. Looking at the Adept I can’t quite tell how you’re supposed to use it.

My guess for now is pretty similar to the L-Trac, where I also have my wrist just sitting on the case under the ball. I do also have a Kensington Orbit Fusion and while it seemed perfect on pictures, its really uncomfortable for me to use.
I used it for several days on the DK1, which is a ridiculously solid TKL with a pretty shallow typing angle. I like the caps, but to be clear I usually do like unsculpted profiles with a landing spot for your fingers that’s moderately to the large side (i.e. I don’t use my Chinese-DSA board much, but I also don’t find G20 or other super wide and flat profiles all that interesting), so it’s sort of made for me.
It feels like a somewhat refined version of the Vortex VSA “PBT Double-shot” (the shine on the spacebar says THAT is a lie, LOL) I have on one of my earliest hand-wires, in that both are obviously closest to DSA, but the typing surface is just a bit wider. KAM also has a much smoother texture than SP’s DSA and fair bit smoother than the Vortex, which I think were more intentionally meant to evoke DSA, and the sound of the KAM seems pretty typical of non-tall PBT. That said, with all that metal on an internally compact design, the board sucks up a lot of sound, even managing to corral the Box Navies somewhat. I have no complaints about the reverse dye-sub job. Legends look crisp and well aligned. Interesting to see the white of the blanks on the underside.

I’m going to ask myself “but why?” later because I hardly ever use my 40% boards, but picked up a 40s MT3 Serika set and a POM plate for my Planck from Drop for $29 shipped:

I was looking for some minimalist but still padded keyboard sleeves to use for commuting and $11/each for Cannon Keys’ original sleeves is a hard price to beat. Picked up some Minterly Seal linears to round out the ones I already have, from back when I would buy only 70 switches.
