New job, new office, new desk (not really set up yet), bringing back a keyboard I haven’t used in a while, same wrist wrest though, wouldn’t use anything else
Lubrigante! I pulled mine out recently too. I think I need to take it apart and redo my stabs though not really looking forward too that project. Opening up sandwich builds is a pain.
Oh yeah my stabs rattle big in this one lol I decided it’s just not worth fixing
Maybe that’s why they’re called stabs. Stabbing PITA.
V4N4G0N Round 1, with a brass mid layer. I thought Cafe would be the perfect fit for the black ano and brass accent. How did I do?
Looking good
That’s rad!
Come to think of it that might be the first Red Ink build I’ve actually seen. For whatever reason the popularity of black vs red Inks doesn’t seem to match that of the mainline switches at all.
Are there force graphs of those segmented springs? I’m perfectly happy with TEX 60g longs in my blacks but can’t help being curious.
I haven’t seen any - but I have a box of switches on my table I’ve been meaning to send-off for measurement - I’ll send one of these along with it!
My GMMK Pro arrived and this nearly 10 lb monster is on my desk right now.
Founder’s Edition Brass Bottom, Brass Plate, Brass Knob, Glorious Pandas, and Glorious themed PBT Caps.
Dang, that’s genuinely cool!
QMK support any better?
Wow thats awesome, how’d you get your hands on that? this is the first I’m hearing of a G-pro Fe.
I did a Red Ink build sometime back. The light springs make them very sensitive to over-lubing. I’ve never felt like I overlubed a switch to the point of being unusable before, but the Red Inks really shocked me. At least half the switches I lubed felt very sluggish after lubing, and that was with a relatively thin lube.
I cheated and swapped out the springs for 70g springs. So essentially ended up with prettier Black Inks.
As far as I am aware, this was only made for Glorious staff and maybe a couple of people they chose specifically. I’ve done some testing of things for them in the past and am lucky to have a great relationship with them, which is likely how I pulled this out.
An application of lube via syringe could rectify the situation I’d reckon. Even one of those pre-filled ones with 205 g0 or something – you could always use it for switches if it doesn’t work out on the stabs.
I hate redoing things so much, they generally won’t get redone. Not sure what went wrong there. I expect my switches to have crap lube jobs (Im still learning), but I am maticulous af with stabs as it crap stabs are a pet peeve of mine. /shrug
I also need to buy a set of hex wrenches as I lost the one that came with the keeb.
That looks amazing!
What is that? I realize you said that brought back the keeb, but I am looking for a nice Alice-style board since Ruikia.
