Thanks bud. Honestly, not really. I type with the pads of my fingers versus the tips, so I can sort of feel the keycaps stick to them. They have zero texture and are incredibly smooth, so when my fingers press down the pads make a seal of sorts with the top of the keycap – something akin to placing a wet hand on clean window glass. No matter how many times I wash my hands, they still feel sticky using this board.
As far as sound goes, they’re great and remind me of DCS all the way.
I picked up the NK65 Olivia Edition that NovelKeys was selling for $99 during the Black Friday sales. Overall, I’d say it’s a fantastic board for that price, considering it comes with switches and keycaps (and a case/cable). It’s not my usual style, but I think it looks very nice. I definitely wouldn’t have bought it for $250, but it’s certainly not bad even at that price.
The stabilizers are “lubed” but the little blob of lube they put on at the factory doesn’t seem to actually accomplish anything, so I did have to fix that.
My only real complaint is that the default layout for the keys on the right side has Del and Fn at the top and bottom, while I prefer having Home and End there. Obviously you can reprogram it with Via, and I have, but they don’t really supply any alternate keys aside from alternate color Esc, Enter, Arrows, etc. Does anyone have any DSS Olivia caps that they’re not using?
