I want a yellowed, broken in hhkb now. Geez, that’s cool. I’ve heard they feel better? More tactile?
Yep! Purchased from Japan. For some reason they only yellow there.
They’re interesting, closest thing is a BKE. They don’t get heavier just more binary
Sangeo 65 with blank green ABS from TKC. Using Gazzew U4Tx switches. They’re unique and satisfying. I recommend them unless you don’t like shortened travel.
Bring your fancy keyboard to work day:
Pink ATXKB (support local!) Live Oak with 49g carrot domes, RO-59 coated OEM sliders, #3 silicone rings, and new type printed snow caps. HHKB Professional Classic for the donor board.
Matsuba Factory super cool wrist rest, deep mat, M575 trackball (with gloss black Perixx replacement ball), and Lenovo X1 noise cancelling headphones round out the kit.
Back in the office for a couple of days, decided to dust off my only real wireless board to bring it in.
I still think this is one of the best on-theme boards I’ve bought to match a keyset. It’s kind of a shame that it’s so low quality, but the switches are definitely breaking in a bit which makes things better. Still need to disassemble this whole thing and fix the stabs though.

Namazu switches & TX stabs
Still just dipping my toes in with the Namazu linears; they’re short travel / long pole linears by SP Star & Bolsa Supply. They’re 3.5mm travel, a little wobbly, and the stock springs are fairly ring-y.
I have a couple pairs of these keycaps purchased on sale, too…mint and Prussian blue. I like them! The layout support is quite good.
I don’t have a “forever home” for SA Polyclear yet (I want to pair it with a transparent keyboard & switches) but I decided to throw it on an old Keycool 84 just to see what it’s like. Honestly, it feels pretty good to type on! It was actually a little challenging to make sure all of the keys were in the right place!
Swapped keycaps on the Portico75 when I changed in the TTC Aces
F13 is really End (Home on Layer 1), F13 looks so much cooler…
Here’s what they sound like:
And here’s a recording focusing-in on that ring I mentioned:
These are next on the list for tuning to see if I can mellow-out that metallic sound. While not my favorite, I do otherwise enjoy typing and gaming with these switches; so I’m interested to see what they’re like with a little TLC.
Yo, that sounds like the end of the doorbell ringing…
What the? They put tuning forks instead of springs in those?
They missed an opportunity to call them ding dong switches.
Laneworks LW-67
Hotswap with emogogo linears. These switches are 85% good. The other 15% is too much wobble, a tad bit too heavy springs, and some kinda rattle I can’t seem to eliminate consistently. I don’t recommend these switches, honestly.
Believe it or not, my first keyboard with a knob. As I had imagined, haven’t needed to use the knob one time.
HHKB Pro 2 + Yang BLE + @KeySculptNerd 's Pink/White Resin HiPro set. So good!
