Actually rather emotional about this ‘valedictory’ vibe. Topre keyboards have been one of my ways to keep my connection with my homeland alive after spending so much time overseas. Amongst other things your designs have been a wonderful symbolic experience facilitating my comfort—even pride—with my East-West fusion.
Anyway, I’m just very lucky to be part of the community during this phase of your work. I’m sure I’ll have more to say when my Heavy Grail arrives. Congratulations and looking forward to your future efforts!
I’ve mentioned this in a few other places, but a GOCF Heavy Grail is something I’m trying to do but am not yet prepared to say for sure that I can until all the logistics are worked out. I’m shooting for a late November offering if I’m able to swing it. Same goes for a small “23U” housing.
Not necessarily. The first batches went out this week, but we have a massive pile to get through, and the Grails take a lot more inspection and assembly work than any products we have ever shipped before, so it’s slow going. It’ll continue into next week.
Question on shipping, if the 23u is coming, given that shipping for the HG was like $70usd can I combine the shipping? I have no intention on building my grail before des stab sliders come out anyway.
Even if I’m able to offer the 23u in a few months (I haven’t even finished the CAD model yet), it likely won’t ship for quote some time thereafter, so I wouldn’t recommend that. Also, the only way to do it would be to cancel your Grail order and have to place a new combined one for both when the 23u is available. Shopify’s systems are maddeningly inflexible.
Yup. Still slogging along. We’ve got a massive pile ready for pickup today, and plenty more being packed as I write this. This is our biggest and most complex assembly/shipping job ever, so it’s taking a minute for sure.
