Nice to see! I am still slightly on the fence. It seems like a fun little board for the right price. A great way to display some keycap sets that don’t get into rotation as much as I would like.. but I can’t help but feel like it might just collect some dust over time.

I wish the Smurve didn’t have that smile logo on the top. maybe on the back or just on the bottom if at all. =/

The price was low enough for the fully built that I figured it could be a fun board to rotate in occasionally. For when I want the solenoid to alert everyone in my neighborhood that I AM TYPING NOW!

Fair point.

I totally get what they’re going for. The badge is iconic on Model M’s, with the color and shape even helping identify the era. Having some branding there doesn’t really bother me. It’s just unfortunate that this one looks like a circumcised Amazon logo. Maybe there’s room for an aftermarket epoxy badge.

It is that similarity to the Amazon smile that is definitely not appealing to me. But, some epoxy filler and a paint job could fix that. It’s just plastic after all.

As an Amazonian friend pointed out to me once, the “smile” looks an awful lot like a dong.

Well, I’ll never be able to unsee that now haha

Sorry! Not sorry enough not to have said it, but a little sorry.

New project from the maker of KLC . Just the most recent 10 IC/GBs from geekhack to start, until other people import their projects from geekhack.

Oh, and here’s another firmware wizard project, this time for QMK/VIAL. I haven’t tried this one yet, but it looks promising too.

So if you are looking for some really old stuff out of nostalgia, it looks like Drop dumped a bunch of stuff on eBay resellers.

Like this store for example: GraveyyardGadgetGuild | eBay Stores

When was the last time you saw a KBd66, RedScarf, and a new Tina kit anywhere

I’ve been following that seller for a year now. Fun stuff to look through. I think I purchased an SA space bar set from them a while back

That exact grey and cyan bottom on the Tina reminds me of the Top Clack video trying to decide between 5 degree vs Tina case. Damn.

That Tina is gorgeous, but the price is way too high for 2026

Oh, man - I want all of these, especially Phantom and Hi Viz! Can’t justify it right now, though - I just ordered the previous set of them. :stuck_out_tongue: But check it out! They’re making the most of this new doubleshot skull mold with two sets of popular colorway-matched options.

New to the GMK store today

I guess this is the set they chose from their recent design contest?

Haven’t seen it from other vendors yet.

Not sure if these are renders or not:

Not sure what colors are used

Got an update already on Reddit:

So it’s Yolch. I’ll have to think about this one. I owned JTK Yolch and it’s one of the few sets that I’ve ever sold. The yellow is CV here. The photos must be on the warmer side because that looks more like N6 to me, which I would prefer.

Yup, Yolch was my gut reaction to the reddit pics. Considering the source material, N9 is too dark for the alphas. If anything N9 could have been the mods color.

Took me longer than I care to admit to realize that they just slapped the F keys onto a 65% 70% for the yellow num row. It is what it is, but you’d think a “yellow alert” might have been a good addition to their Extension kit.

The original device was not one I’m familiar with, but now I’m gonna have to go look up more about it.

I guess it feels like a safe pick for GMK. They don’t have a Yolch option on the market, it uses stock colors, and lots of Akko boards have made this look popular. It’s kinda cool, but I have lots of dolch stuff, and I’d honestly rather pick up mint dolch than yolch.
