Post Your Computer

This one isn’t exactly mine but I am building it for work.

And yes, that’s 4 3090s. We actually bought 5 because the guy who ordered the parts didn’t realize these are 2.5 PCI slots thick each and there’s just no more room. I don’t know and don’t really care about the rest of the hardware in this thing, we basically just threw in some mediocre CPUs and the minimum amount of RAM to get the graphics cards running. Anybody want to guess what we’re doing with it? (Hint: not mining, or at least that’s not the intended purpose)

Oh, and I made a couple minor upgrades to the gaming rig and made it a lot easier to see inside. Maybe I’ll be able to smooth talk my boss into letting me take that spare 3090 home :crossed_fingers:

Love it but for the love of everything holy…redo the GPU 8 pin powercable.
There is an opening for it right next to the gpu.

Believe me, that’s actually the least awful looking run of that cable I could manage to do. Flat PSU cables are no fun. Custom ones are on my upgrade list but not a super high priority. And to be fair, that’s also my current fix for GPU sag as well. This machine is going to be my money pit for the next year or so

Ah fair enough. I never wanted to invest in costum cables but then I bit the sour apple and just did it.

was well worth it

It’s for cracking passwords! One of the teams I work with is being tasked with going through and verifying that all of the service accounts across all of the company’s computers are compliant. I’m not sure exactly how they got this massive expense approved for that but hey, who cares as long as we can have some fun while getting work done :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ah-ha. Very cool. I ran into that issue a few times. We took the plunge and invested in a privileged access management solution.

I ditched the case, got a 3060, and built a hack-job of a stand out of Plexiglas and 1x2 maple. I think I’ll mount it on the wall soon

Here’s mine with the front dust catcher doing it’s good work.

No RGB on this one, in fact both sides are solid plates. In addition I stuck some Kilmat on the sides to cut down on resonance. It seems to help a bit until the games start really working over the CPU and GPU.

Inside it’s pretty basic, although I have upgraded to Noctua fans throughout.

Macrame plant hanger for that, 100%. Or maybe that’s more of a @deadeye suggestion

I would love to just have my pc in a test bench and just keep a fan blowing over it to prevent dust build up or something lol.

Corner desk Meshilicious. Had a Nouvolo Steck before this. SFF since 2018 and not going back :relieved:

Pretty much how I have mine. It doesn’t accumulate much dust.

Yeah, looks sick. Dust accumulates in or out of a case, and the ‘filters’ on my NR200 didn’t do much of anything. I wonder if not having case fans will change this as well.
