Damn you guys, you might force me to break out the DSLR. Awesome photos and builds.
Wow, this looks amazing. Is the core stand something buyable?
Thank you, yes, it is the XTIA Xproto. I have put together all the specs and details here if you’re curious about the build. ![]()
An update to my workstation, because the Lian Li Galahad died a while ago and I just finished the rebuild.
And yes, of course there’s a black M60-A behind that camera.
Just finished my build to replace the big boy I built 10 years ago.
Specs:
- Lian-Li O11 Air Mini case
- Asus TUF B560M-Plus Mobo
- i7 11700KF CPU
- 64gb Ripjaw DDR4 3200
- WD Black SN850 1tb NVMe SSD
- Cooler Master ML280 Mirror AIO
- Gigabyte RX 6700 XT Gaming OC 12gb GPU
- All fans are Be Quite! Pure Wings 2
- Leadex V Gold Pro 850w PSU
Just finished with the CPU, GPU, and mem overclocking and this thing is amazing! Big jump from my 2nd gen i7 build!
Looks sweet, those are some great specs too! Congrats on the build.
Thanks! It sure was a fun one!
Did a bit more upgrading:
- 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 kit
- Lian-Li vertical GPU mount
- Added a second drive for games: 2TB WD Black SN850 NVMe M.2 SSD
- Swapped top and bottom 120mm fans for 140mm
- Added 2 x 120mm exhaust fans to the side to help pull warm AIO air out of the case.
With the new fan setup and vertical GPU mount, CPU and GPU thermals have improved decently. CPU under load is around 61c and GPU is around 64c so I am quite happy with that, especially since one of the only negative things reviewers complained about this case was poor GPU temps. Other than heavy games or other resource intensive applications, this thing runs near silent.
Is it safe to guess you might like the color green?
Haha, that color seemed to pop well both during the daylight and at night. Was thinking more along the lines of ‘xbox green’

Photos and specs of my PC when I built it about 2.5 yrs ago. Only things that have changed are the addition of custom cables, custom power button, and a 3080Ti FE
Not be best picture; mostly just to illustrate the cartoonishly oversized case. I bought it online as an alternative to a Fractal R5 noise-dampened case - what I didn’t know is that this one is like 30% bigger.
Motherboard footprint highlighted in blue. Took the photo just before replacing the video card a few days ago.
- ThermalTake Suppressor F31 sound-dampened case
- Low-RPM 200mm intake fan & sound dampening foam
- Gigabyte z170 HD3 motherboard
- Intel i5 6600K processor, modestly overclocked to 4.2ghz
- CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo cooler (Honda Civic of coolers, cheap, good, but kinda hard to install)
- 16gb DDR4 oc’d @ 3ghz, some rando brand from before prices went nuts
- A bunch of random SSDs
- Optical drive hanging out just in case, not currently connected
- EVGA Supernova 750 B2 80+ Bronze power supply
- Gigabyte GTX 1070 WFOC (pictured, removed)
- Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Aorus edition (replaced the above)
Got an unexpected message from a friend, “hey there’s a 2070 Super in my neighborhood going for [ great price ], you want it?” Short story shorter it’s in my computer and I’m happy about it.
I had gotten the 1070 just before ram and gpu prices went to the moon, and through a combination of sales and discounts, got it brand new for like $120 below retail at the time. It’s served me very well the past six years or so and I didn’t specifically feel the need to upgrade, but sometimes a good deal walks by and you can’t pass it up.
I will now play Quake II and Minecraft as I have never played them before…
Alright, final upgrade…(That’s what they all say lol)
Replaced the Cooler Master ML280 AIO with a NZXT Kraken Z63 280mm AIO and Arctic Silver 5 paste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste. This resulted in a drop of 3c idle temps and 9c in Cinebench temps.
Computer on the desk
That is a must to keep animal fur and dust mostly out of the system lol
love the color of the lights in that. That’s always my go-to color for leds
Upgrade bug got me again! Swapped out the Pure Wings 2 fans for Be Quiet! Light Wings high speed ARGB fans. Also swapped out the 850w PSU for a Super Flower Leadex V Gold Pro 1000w PSU. I should be fully future proofed now.
Sorry for the potato pics & please ignore my clutter. I seriously need to take a day & organize everything I got in this room bad! So I finally joined the Ryzen game! Got a 5800X, Aorus (Gigabyte) X570S Pro AX ver 1.1 mobo, a 1TB Samsung 980 PRO NVME gen. 4 SSD for my boot drive, & 4 Noctua NF-P14s redux-1200rpm 140mm case fans, & a 16 pack of the matching grey Cromax anti vibration pads for the fans. I finally put the Alphacool Eisbaer 240mm AIO I got awhile back to use. Then I ported over my EVGA FTW3 RTX 3090, Seasonic X 1200w PSU, 32GB (4 x 8GB) G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3200MHz RAM, & the 3 Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM 120mm fans I had.
Overall I’m super happy with the build. I really only have one issue I need to work out with it. The 4 G.Skill RAM kits I got are ever so slightly mistached (Same kits with speed & timings, but the color is different & they were not produced at the same time). So no matter what I’ve tried I can not get them running at their rated 3200MHz. So I checked the QVL list for memory with my mobo & found a 32GB (4 x 8) kit of Corsair Vengence LPX 3600MHz CL18 that’s tested with my mobo. Orderd it on Amazon last night, should have it tomorow hopefully.
