Iāve been listening to a lot of galdive lately. Sheās got this fusion of styles that somehow clicks with me. Her vocals as well! Very unique.
Hereās one of her releases.

Mushroomhead has been my go to for the past few weeks, and QWERTY has a pretty cool video as well.
Ooooweeeeee! That sounds mighty fine. Not my cupāo tea exactly, but funny enough to peek my interest more than just a bit. Thank you very much for the suggestion.
Found out my wife had never seen Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. How is that possible? Anyway, been listening to Metric at deafening volumes today.
If youāve never heard of David Sylvian or his band Nine Horses, well now you have. Itās a bit melancholy for my daily listening but man do I wish I had a voice like this fellow:
Money for All

Revolution, Socialism, read it in a rag - thereās a gun at your head, put the money in the bag.
The Banality of Evil

Heeeeeeyyyyā¦ hello, neighbor.
But how else are people supposed to know
Between the passing of Klaus Schulze and Vangelis, Iāve been on a bit of an Electronica journey latelyā¦ Decided to dig into some of the Tangerine Dream stuff I hadnāt listened to beforeā¦especially the live bootlegs (which have official releases now available from TDās website):
The Rangeās latest album āMercuryā was released today. I enjoy it.
Just got into paledusk - god fucking damn they are good. They are a kinda prog metalcore band, but with an electronic feel and a lot of weird (but cool) twists on the genre.

This song slay, is probably my favourite, followed by black ice - although it is by no means their heaviest song.

Tackling covers for my next music write up, so Iām jamming to some of my favorites. Lianne did her thing with this one. Absolutely amazing cover.
Nostalgia hits hard with this one.

Still one of my favorite records.
Lyrics
Aice Cooper - Go To Hell
For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For beinā a brat, refusinā to act your age
For all of the decent citizens youāve enraged
You can go to hell
For gamblinā and drinkinā alcohol constantly
For makinā us doubt our parents authority
For choosinā to be a living obscenity
You can go to hell
Youāre something that never should have happened
You even make your grandma sick
Youād poison a blind manās dog and steal his cane
Youād gift-wrap a leper and mail him to your aunt Jane
Youād even force-feed a diabetic a candy cane
You can go to hell
Youāre something that never should have happened
You even make your grandma sick
For criminal acts and violence on the stage
For beinā a brat, refusinā to act your age
For all of the decent citizens youāve enraged
You can go to hell
Alice Cooper is amazing.
Been on a Thin Lizzy kick. Had no idea Whiskey in the Jar is a traditional Irish ballad. Also, I will go out on a limb and say I like the Metallica version even more.
Thatās the generation bias. I didnāt know this either until a couple of years ago. My dad told me it was from thin Lizzy when I was a little kid. That burnt into my brain. And about 22 years ago I needed to explain a school buddy of mine that the song isnāt from Metallica. And I guess when Iām a grampa Iāll tell my grand kids that the song isnāt from Rhianna Beeberlakeā¦ or that YikYok artists those damn kids are bragging 'boutā¦ on their game boysā¦ and suchā¦
Oh boy, reminiscences and fond memoriesā¦ you beautiful time machines!
I had this on Amiga as a kid; I honestly donāt remember liking the game itself all that much but man that theme slaps
