wait a tick… you got 50K in returns? or is that total savings?
Yes, I’m a big fan of the ambers. The only thing I don’t like about them is that they are hard as hell to get in and out of the plates I’m using them with. I put them in my M65-B and it took me 30 min to get them back out. Total pain in the ass.
But they sound and feel very good sock. I didn’t notice a need for films either.
KK Lightwave V2. Very strange stem design and a long dick spring. They are very snappy with a dampened down stroke and clacky upstroke.
The emerald housing is gorgeous.
Got some new artisans in the past couple days. Today I finally got my first Fugkotsu (Harpy Echo colorway) & first Hellbent cap (a Tired Face, not sure of the cw’s name though) from an awesome dude off r/mm. Then yesterday I got my first cap from Stone Keys in, it’s a Stump0 in the Sky Box colorway. Definitely glad to add these guys to the collection! The quality is definitely there with both the Stone Keys & Hellbent caps so I’d recommend their caps for sure.
More sockets, and some Mill Max pins that seem much to small. I’ll know more later I guess.
Plus, what has to be one of the most visually attractive PCBs I’ve ever seen.
Hadi Potter? What board and PCB? That looks great!
Hadi Iskandarani, it’s called the had60, and I’m right now trying to figure out how to build the most transparent keyboard ever so I can always look at the PCB.
You can buy one at his site: https://senselessclay.com/
Lol. I was just chatting in the Discord. I signed up for the newsletter but seems I missed the memo. Currently trying to evaluate if this will work in a Klippe
I’m going to attempt to design a stacked acrylic case for it. Hadi showed me a video he made on the same subject so I’m pretty excited.
The part I like the best about this too is the distressed silk screen. It’s actually supposed to be solid, but the manufacturer he worked with hosed it up, but I feel like it’s just the absolute best accident that could have happened.
Wait, he’s got a Discord? Can you share the link?
mine will be here tomorrow. Trying to decide what to do with it. I have a 1/2 and full FR4 plate to try out with it in my Unikorn. I have a feeling 1/2 plate will have too much flex though. We shall see It sure looks nice.
Clever bottom out dampener. Clacky upstroke is far from tempting, however.
Yeah, I’m really not sure what to expect on this kind of board. I bought some linear switches even though I prefer tactile, only because I thought with the board flex the tactile bump would feel weird? Plus these switches are 100% translucent (Everglide Aqua Kings).
I have those Aqua Kings in my M65-B. Very nice switches. I built a 1/2 plate (pom) with flex PCB on my Prophet using lubed Gateron Yellows. It’s so unique. Feels almost like typing on a cardboard box. But this will be even MORE flexible with the full flex cut PCB. I’m thinking I’ll do retooled blacks, U4t thocky, or the T1 Amber switches.
I have a Had60 in the mail and can test it out in my Klippe. I’ll report back my findings. Although I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit.
Awesome, mine just shipped yesterday! Can’t wait to mess around with that PCB!
Nice mailday today! Got my Acrylic Cherry switch print LED shine through thingy (this thing is great & doesn’t need batteries when plugged into a USB port!) & a couple packs of white Deskey films from PrimeKB in. Got a 110 batch of the Blue Velvet PME linear switches in from Dangkeebs (these some smooth bois, not a fan of the elongated stem pole though might have to clip them). Then I also got my Had60flexV1 PCB in with a daughterboard for it. I decided to have them leave the USB port on the PCB for now cause I can always remove it later if I want to. Can’t wait to give this bad boy a try, think it’s gonna be crazy flexy! Eventually I will probably pair this with either my Monoflex (most likely cause the stock PCB does not have any flex cuts I believe) or my Salvation.
If you don’t mind, I would really appreciate that!
I was trying to do some arm chair evaluation last night. There is a this IC that I was interested in https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/mlf4ck/ic_nappe_oring_gasket_mount_mod_pcb_for/
And comparing the two PCBs. They look similar.
However it looks like the sides and bottom of the had60 don’t have the same large cutouts. I am not to familiar with gasket, I know it is friction based, but the Klippe has those little prongs on some of the revisions, I am wondering if the PCB would end up resting on them. Specifically the sides and bottom.
Either way super cool PCB!
I just popped the Had60 in my R4 Klippe, and it fit perfectly. However, I can’t confirm whether or not the PCB will work with that O-ring mod. The cutouts do not align with the prongs, so, if you’re worried about interference, I would just wait for that other PCB to go into groupbuy. I tried to capture it in this photo.
Hope this helps!
