What did you get in the mail today? (Part 1)

Reminds me of Mito’s proposed “booster” kit to Laser.

Got my Primecaps Habumat in from MAK yesterday! Definitely a very high quality mat & the graphic came out just like it should’ve! Also got the shipping notice for my b-1000 Al Bumen, so I should have that by the end of next week hopefully!

Ortek MCK-142Pro. I finally get my hands on a battlecruiser board with Alps SKCM Whites. The camera makes it look kinda decent, but it’s actually quite dirty. It will take some time to clean this beast.

Also despite the name, it has 144 keys.

Mo’ Alps – white Alps.

Pay no attention to the absolutely distgusting grime. But at 15 Euros I couldn’t resist.

Looks like a job for the ultrasonic cleaner.

I don’t mind the work with tooth brush and soapy water

Iceberg switches and a very loud MDA keycap set from KeebMonkey.

Only tried them in the hand so far, but they seem like darn solid linears for 25-30 cents each.

As for the caps, I bought them purely out of curiosity - they were the only item on KM’s site without a photo, and the set name is one I didn’t see anywhere else when I searched for it. Sure enough, it was an MDA set, and one I’d never seen before.

I’ll note it’s gone from their site and to my knowledge never even appeared on MelGeek’s - but it looks to me like whoever had it made was going for an EVA-01 theme - or something like that. Maybe not my favorite mix of colors, but I do know a guy who is all about some lime green…

Probably the last thing I will buy for this hobby (for a long time at least) has arrived.
100 yellow Ink’s and films enough for 2 keebs

I am glad I am not the only one that bought those unpictured keycaps just out of curiosity.

They aren’t truly MDA profile - they are identical to the “spherical cherry” keycaps I posted a short review of before.

Here is my picture of the eye bleeding goodness:

Interesting! The ones I got look very similar; looks like maybe just the legend colors are swapped - Latin legends on mine are purple, with the other ones in red. Novelties are purple caps in mine - also looks to be a different typeface - colors look pretty much the same though.

Edit: Can confirm, indeed these are not MDA, if not too hard to mistake for it. Here’s the whole set:

Colors in that photo are way off; this is a little closer:

Intense red that reminds me of lipstick, eggplant purple, and guacamole green. Honestly no clue what the theme is but it managed to surprise me even though I had no clue what colors the keys would have.

Texture, weird homing nubs, rando novelty legends! It’s got thrift store Hawaiian shirt vibes and I kinda like that.

Oh, yeah -

Awaken deskmat!

And a neat case for the ol’ Anne Pro 2, bad photo:

Some modding supplies - 5g and 10g weights totaling 300g. 30pcs of 4x1x1mm o rings. These will be part of my attempt to make a cheap plastic tray mount sound and feel like something more

May Pad. I’ve been wanting to put together a numpad and I sort of impulse bought this while I was buying some other components

Very cute

Lavender stabilizers to match switches. Built up my Obliterated 75. Tape modded sounds quite nice.

Did a very quick quality inspection and test fitting … and it is in line with my best hopes.
The top/bottom fit is tight and good, and the powercoat job is very good.

… But found a little design mistake on my side :frowning:
Nothing that can’t be tweaked by filing either plate or bottom case but it is a bummer…

Will post pictures on the Manta75 thread when I will have time

Nothing to do here but… an old map of my hometown. It will enrich my collection.
