I got a HIBI June in monster fuzz purple the other day. Still haven’t opened it. Been to hectic and I’ve been in a piss-poor mood. Wanna be happy when I open it.
i really like music like this. thank you.
Nice. In the Saint Pepsi audio snippet, why are there parts sounding like speaker is submerged in water?
If I had to guess, I’d say it’s a way of expressing nostalgia, muffling and un-muffling the sounds.
What have I gotten myself into?! These are the parts of a (single) Killer Whale kit. Thanks Taro!
Jesus, that’s a lot of parts. Good luck.
This is very interesting.
Do you think a Baby Kangaroo could be used to build Holy Bobas? It would be nice to have a Halo stem substitute.
Tried both Baby Kangaroo stem and Zealios v2 stem but neither fits Boba LT top housing. AFAIK Boba top housings are interchangeable so result would be same for them as well.
Thanks. That’s worth knowing.
In truth, there are different types of Boba top-housings. The less-tight tops that allow greater lighting are said to function better with a wider range of non-OUTEMU stems.
The no-slot “tight-tops” are really intended for purpose-built OUTEMU stems, Cherry stems, and whatever else happens to fit [such as Kailh Pro Purple and Halo stems].
I think what I was really wondering, after all this, was whether the more tactile Geon stems [and not just Baby Blue] might also work in Boba housings, and whether one of them might be similar to a Halo stem. But that’s a different question.
Some more or less Interesting things came in.
A set of TTC Razer Greens. They were supposed to be Razer branded Outemu Greens (which do not exist, but they did have a photo of them in thumbnails so my curiosity got the best of me.) but turned out to be just TTC.
Also a set of KT/Katie powder ink (?) made by BSUN. PA66 Nylon housing, POM K2 long pole linear stem. They seem to be using some older or worn out type of Molds by BSUN because they have more wobble than other, more recent BSUN switches, but they are still tolerable and enjoyable. Alpaca “v2” next to it for color comparison.
Tecsee Honeydews arrived. POM stem, HPE housing, 65g 18mm TX spring. These seem really muted. Also I wish these came lubed, as I am noticing noise from the springs. Oh well… I do really like the colour of the stems, and the feel is pretty nice.
the U and the V look the same T_T
The u is rounded at both corners whereas the v has a 90° corner on the bottom left. The n is the same as the v but upside down. But it is challenging to tell them apart. The c is also the same as u but rotated
gonna have to rely on profile to differentiate. way 2 subtle esp if you’re modding in the semi-dark ![]()
VirtualBoy vibes
Couple of switches ![]()
Gateron Oil King, Kailh Midnight Pro, TTC Silent Glacier, TECSSEE Purple Panda, JWK/JWICK Ultimate Black
Today was a pretty good mail day, considering the weather on the east coast is abhorrent right now.
We’ll start with some artisans (I swear I have more display trays and keyboards all of these are going to end up in!)
“Stormforge” Mr. Hunter by Mr.Maw
“Regal Remains”(The Queen of Roses, The Jester of Malice, and The Cursed King) by NZ CAPS
I also received my “Three-Eyed” Floppy Cat deskmat from floppyprocessor (Arc60 for scale
)
And lastly, I got in some Cherry clip-in stabs from Cannon Keys with their replacement spacebar wires. I also ordered several sets of their 2u wires, because they just have to match!
