For me, shopping at the Geon store. Just as difficult.
It’s like buying something from North Korea.

Got my NK x Key Kobo WoB set in today! Really impressed with them. They have a similar texture to GMK caps, a similar thickness to GMK & DCX caps, the legends are sharp & properly aligned, no warped longer keys at all, & the pricing is really good. Overall they are very high quality caps IMO. Then on top of that, this set comes with a bunch of extra RGB accents & comes in trays similar to OG GMK trays! A lot to love about these caps, I’ll definitely be buying more KKB sets in the future!

I got this gorgeous DR-70F from the DaringRun team, with the help of Divinikey’s Carl. Two layout options, kick-ass carry case, the three matte PCB areas can be moved around, etc. Not available yet, review soon.

Hadn’t seen this, that’s a lovely looking board

The concept is compelling. I’m curious to know which configuration has the switches south facing and vice versa.

Actually, you don’t flip/rotate the PCB but rearrange the three separable (snap-off) blocks connected by FFC cable, so both layouts have south facing switches.

Hot damn. My Eon87 pcb came from HMKB today and IT FITS my Noxary 280!:tada::clinking_glasses:

This is, to my knowledge, the only available PCB that fits the 280. The Milan hotswap should fit in theory, but when I tried it, the USB sits just a bit further south and interferes with the cutout in the bottom of the case. It’s close, but you would have to take a Dremel to the bottom of the case and carve out a few millimeters of clearance. The Eon87 was my last hope. It’s the only H.87 with bottom mount USB currently available. Man, what a relief! I was pretty bummed that I wouldn’t be able to use the board again.

Note to self: remember to check for compatible PCBs on the market before you decide to vigorously reflow the MCU on your board.

Really nice mail day today! Got my TKL sized Feltie in from NK, 2 new carry cases & bunch of stab wires from CK, & that Zenith Z150 I grabbed off ebay came too! The Feltie is super nice. Feels to be made of high quality materials, there was no fraying on the stitching or felt itself, & the back is rubberized so it sticks well to the desk. The CK cases are for my Aaru & Thermal +, the wires are the misc leftover stab housings I have. Then the Z150 ended up being even cleaner than I thought it was from the pics on ebay!

PaiGu doubleshot Stabs with TPU inserts, a bag of defective switches, an AE86 levin coupe model and some mouse switches.

The bag of switches seems to have TTC white flame, Kailh clione limacina, some Kailhs with orange-yellow color and round stem that i forgot the name of, and some Unknown winglatch switches that seem to share molds with the purple colored Duhuk switches. If anyone knows what they are and where to get them, please, let me know (No, they are not G-Square dreamland).
Those stabs are seriously good. They have a very slight amount of factory lube on the wire, but i wiped that off when i was assembling them to test them as raw and unlubed as i could. And there is zero ticking or rattling. I didn’t even tune or bend the wire, nothing.

Excuse me reputable and good user, do you have a list of taobao/ali/xianyu finds, or a guide? I’m jealous of your thriftiness

Botanical has come in! Not my favorite on this board but it is not what I bought it for.

Black Cherry Pies, feel incredibly smooth out of the box, so I cannot wait to mod them and put them in a board.

Got this back on the 23rd. Raw steel HHKB Saturn60.

This was straight out of the box. Today I cleaned it up some.

Still trying to decide if want to have it powder coated or not. I kinda dig the maker marks on it. Also, this vibration finish on the bottom piece is sexy

Idk. I’m probably going to use it raw. I already have a beige and black R1 board.

Guess I’ll get it built up and see what I think.

Does anyone know of a shop with a good reputation of working with keyboard people? I know Space Cables does cerakote, but I’ve never seen them advertise powder coating.

So, I broke down and put the BCPs in my Ginkgo65, and they feel and sound fantastic! I have not been using linears recently so these feel buttery to type on. I have never used a switch with a long stem before, but I really like it, the slightly sharper bottom out is very pleasant to type on. And I also just realized the last three switches I have used in boards have all had POM stems, and two have had nylon housings. Seems like I need to spice things up!

It seems like long poles really shine in a gasket build like the Ginkgo, cause they cut through the muted-ness that gaskets bring. I have just been struggling with liking the feel of such a short travel. Granted I have only tried Blueberry Chiffons, which have a really aggressive reduced travel.
