nice dude!! Some of the older SA sets can be very hard to find. I pretty much gave up on finding the chocolatier tsangan kit after the only offer I had the dude wanted $300 for it

Do they still have DSS dolch? I’d highly recommend that if you haven’t tried DSS. If you’ve got more plans for the board in the nearish future though then yeah it probably doesn’t make sense to just get a few caps that way.

I got this M0110 keyboard today in a bundle with an original Macintosh Plus. This isn’t the correct keyboard for that model of Mac – it should be the M0110A with a numpad – but I have one of those on the way as well, so I was happy to get one of these boards. Everything was in pretty rough shape. They looked like they had been in a literal barn for a few years. The Mac “works” but I haven’t been able to actually use it because it seems like the floppy drive might be faulty. As for the keyboard, some initial testing revealed some issues with certain keys, so I took the board completely apart and cleaned everything. I’m now testing it out using the Drakware usb convertor on my modern Mac.

The keyboard was listed as working, but the “a” key is reluctant to work (I have to press it multiple times and/or be very forceful) and the comma key doesn’t appear to work at all. But then again the “r” initially seemed to be the same as the “a” but is now working more or less fine, so I’m hoping if I type on it a while it might loosen up somehow. The case plastics are pretty yellowed as is the spacebar but I might try brightening them up.

(I typed this entirely on the M0110 with the exception of the commas )

Just got these caps from the colorway naming contest recently held by Fraktal Kaps. “Moon Salt” was my entry and was chosen as the name of this colorway. Can’t believe I won - I never win anything! They even sent me number 1 of 6!

Oh man, ALPS SKCC switches nice! The creams are a bit heavier, but I have a NOS IBM Pingmaster & the SKCC greens in there are easily the smoothest & nicest linears I have ever felt personally. Speaking of I need to get that thing USB converted sooner than later. If you can’t get the trouble switches to start working there is a listing for desoldered & cleaned ALPS SKCC cream switches on ebay right now.

Thanks, I’ll think about getting some replacement switches. Realistically I probably won’t be typing a huge amount on this particular board, so I’m not sure if it’s worth it, but I do like the idea of bringing it back to working order. For now I swapped the faulty switches from A and Comma with working switches from Enter (as opposed to Return) and Right Option, since I don’t see myself using them that much compared to say, the letter A. This was my first time working with ALPS switches and I’m happy to say I managed to do it with no issues, and can now type at least the most used keys with no problem.

Almost brings a tear to the eye, LOL! Seriously though the finish is absolutely amazing on this. I only found 2 small ano streaks, that you can only see in the right light, & they’re both on the bottom. The shipping was crazy fast too, I think he dropped this off last fri or sat & it got to my house around noon today! Great GB experience on this one thankfully, after this I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one of Exclusive’s boards. I thought I ordered the middle weight in e-black, but I just double checked the order form & I did not. Gonna have to hit him up to see if there is any possibility of getting one still.

Edit: Not sure what’s up with the colors on the 2nd pic, but the bottom pic is very representative of what the color looks like irl.
