Got my NIB Dascom terminal board today from zfrontier.

It’s a beauty

and just as cool is the adapter

I think I’ll leave it completely stock, but the space bar is quite annoying. I added a bit of lube and it’s now quieted down but the unclipped Cherry stabilizers sure aren’t great.

I’d hate to desolder such a nice board, so I think I’ll just live with it for now.

Oh nicee, I didn’t realize it had F1-F20 when I checked out the zfrontier listing.

Looks like it is missing F15 and F16

It must be because “Help” & “Do” are sitting in place of F15 & F16.

Yeah Wyse terminal boards had some super weird scan codes iirc.

Now that is a powerhouse of a PC build, even though I’m not the one getting the PC I appreciate you building it for your brother-in-law/nephews.

This is exactly what my first set of DCS caps probably came from. The harvested set had the F20, the “Do” button, 10u spacebar, and everything.

The white keycaps had darkened from age, though. Fortunately, it was consistent, and everything matched with an aftermarket Moogle kit. I happen to be typing on it right now.

Never though I’d seen a WYSE-associated terminal board in such pristine condition, available for purchase new!

Been good for a week or two, but the resin is starting to flow again! Got my Birdoween cap in from LevelCaps today! Really like this colorway (iirc it’s called Witches Brew), you can’t tell in the pic but the main body is actually a very dark translucent green.

My first ever SA set came in today.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to try these…

I’ve never tried the Domikey, but I love SP’s and Akko’s (in their discontinued “SAL” flavor). SA is probably my favorite profile overall, unsculpted (or half-sculpted like SAL) on lower-angle boards, sculpted on ones with a few more degrees. 112343 row layout also helps a bit with some of my weird ideas.

Are those SA-P keycaps, the ones in PBT and sublimated?

Those are really nice caps

One of my daughters is type on this exact set, in AZERTY layout, installed on one of my Manta75

They’re doubleshot, it’s the1980s set from Domikey. I did consider Signature Plastics’ SA-P Industrial set, though, which is a similar colorway.

I’m very curious where you are getting AZERTY kecyaps in SA ! I’ve used azertykeycaps.fr as a tool to try find interesting sets before (I found it in the Mechanical Keyboards France discord), but, as you can see, none of them are SA.

Hey @picturamundi !

5 years ago SP was doing custom sublimation of SA keycaps on their standard colors, one offs.

It was a bit expensive (around 200ish $) but you had some color choices and you could have them sublimated with various languages like AZERTY for French.

Afaik it looks like this service is not available anymore…

It’s still there, just rebranded

A couple more Halloween caps, this is Sodie’s newest sculpt, Freakjams! I was lucky enough to win 2 of them recently, a Bloody Jason one & a Mischief Night '25 one!
