Ordered 220 of those Keygeek Blue Cheese V2s since I’ve heard great things about them & they are another super deep sounding switch from KG too. I also got lucky & snagged the last set of Keybay’s Maiz stabs with the new plastic wires! Been pretty interested in them since I seen Monaco Keys selling them. Tried to grab some from them, but unfortunately Monaco Keys doesn’t ship to the US. Glad to see Keybaytech carrying them!
Nice! Can’t beat two sets of MT3 for $49!
I have 0 need for more MT3, but this sale might force me.
Decided to give SA profile a shot with the loudest set possible:
Also picked up 200 cheap YMDK clear keycaps for switch testers, which should cover everything for years to come:
Nice. I’m trying to talk myself into buying the same. I already have the GMK colorway, but it’s a damn good price.
I don’t have any other SA sets, I don’t have this colorway, and it was only $49 for the base set, so it didn’t take much to convince myself this was a good buy.
I would have preferred it in GMK/CYL but did I mention $49? ![]()
I’m tapped out for a bit now, but picked up some more MX2A switches. Already have MX2A orange but wanted to add browns and blues to my collection:
I have a question since I’m a noob in this area. I see you also purchased the space bars and I was curious if the they are not part of the base kit? For I plan on buying that exact set.
Your base kit will exactly match the “kitting” picture and should come with two yellow spacebars, one the length of 7 regular keycaps, and the one you’ll probably need (IIRC) which is the length of 6.25 keycaps (“units” or “u”). The separate kit includes various smaller spacebars for less common layouts and a couple of extra ‘B’ keycaps for certain split layouts.
Thank you for that info. I’m planning on ordering that set not sure on flat or sculpted. But I’m sure either will be cool
It really is an underrated set IMO. Look lovely in person & really good on green & brown boards! For $84 shipped I might finally grab a set myself!
Jukebox and Fairlane MT3 arrived. I like them both, and at $25 each I’m definitely not complaining, but I would commit several crimes (or at least pay more than my usual maximum) to get Jukebox’s red-on-beige for the entire set. Fairlane is like somebody turned down the saturation slider on Dancer, and it’s nice. I know they’re both old colorways, but they’re new to me. ![]()
Really salivating in front of the MDR Dasher, my finger hovering over the pledge button.
I backed it as an early adopter earlier in the year, which is nice(r) for the wallet, but they’re still just killing me: the Dasher layout, by far the most desirable IMO, is not included in the $200 cheaper Barebone configuration! What!
Are you sure about the project? From what we’ve seen so far (which is very little), the lack of transparency is quite evident.
Yeah, the disrespect of pricing tiers, advertising jargon, rush-job copy and media materials, possible IP flouting, and the disassembled case looking 80% hollow while being CNC machined (it’s not going to sound good). The combination screams cash-grab … not “someone made this with love and attention so I’ll give them half a grand.”
It looks great, but that’s because the show prop designers did a great job, not whoever this fly-by-night company is.
While I get it, it is a beautiful KB, i gotta agree with others that are saying tread lightly here. This company is new to the KB game afaik & this feels a lot more cash grab than passion project.
Thank you, I appreciate this feedback from those of you with more experience. I got a good night’s sleep, and I’m thinking a little more clearly this morning.
Salutations.
First time posting here (besides saying hi). I’ve decided to begin my first attempt at building something. Testing the waters mostly. I bought a GMMK 2 (96%) kit, and a tester with some keycaps and switches are coming also.
My goal is to create a silent-ish functional keyboard and try things. I’d like to try several profiles of keycaps (so far I’ve only used OEM I believe) and the SA and MDA ones really caught my eye.
Only difficulty so far is finding stuff I like the look of in ISO-ES and is not crazy expensive.
I’m eager to learn about materials, profiles and anything keyboard related so with any luck you will see me around in this forum more often than not.

They are now sold out, but these ‘silent-click’ MX tactiles recently became available through CTRL vendors:
Apparently, they are the result of modding Gateron Melodics. They are said to feel somewhat ALPS like, with a tactility produced via a ‘quiet’ click-leaf.
