What did you order or think about ordering?

I agree.

It would really improve QOL with custom keyboards if more solutions for elegant, flip-out feet were adopted. It’s really helpful to be able to adjust the typing angle. Many “factory” boards accommodate this. For some reason, most expensive customs do not.

So real. There have been too many times where I’d check a listing for photos and only see the top-down view and a random angle of the bottom of the board after already clicking through the damn photo carousel 10x times. Blows my mind.

Not sure I really need more plastic caps when I have so many sets chilling, but I got in on the GB for GMK Gonzales.

I think it will look really nice on my Smoke PC Hiney TKL One.

Thinking about getting a NK CLASSIC-GLO in pink or translucent and I cannot decide. I’ve been through this exercise before and abandoned my cart…but I just keep coming back to them. They remind me of cracking glow-in-the-dark bracelets and wearing them around fairs in the summer. I think tonight is the night…maybe!

purchased some more of the (now sadly) discontinued translucent housing Cherry MX Clears that were available on Xtrfy a while back, from a fella on reddit.

Definitely don’t want to run out of those anytime in the next century.

Ordered a hotswap Tsangan PCB from 1UP Keyboards for $30 shipped! Don’t really need one at the moment, but can’t hurt to have one on hand for some future build.

Currently debating the Blaine V2. Seems like the Volcano colorway and GMK Pomeii would be a :fire: combination. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(I will have to get a different plate and PCB to ISOify things, but getting used to that at this point. Having my own PCB design to twiddle with also helps for things like screw mounting points.)

Aren’t those a steal? They’ve been on clearance there for like 3+ years

The switches are the wrong orientation and the hobby seems to have moved to either very small boards, or 75% and larger boards. The poor, once-beloved 60% just isn’t as popular.

Hah! And here I thought I found some hot new deal. :joy:

There are a couple trade offs (like the North-facing switches you mentioned), but at this price, I can live with that since I rarely use Cherry profile keycaps anyway.

I own one as well. Good price, but yes, the switch orientation is not ideal for all switches. As long as you use a switch with a slightly longer pole (shorter travel) you’ll be fine. I usually only notice when I use cherry switches with a full 4.0mm travel.

But, like, why though? The usual reason is per-key RGB lighting (that hits translucent legends so those glow), but this just has underglow.

Maybe it’s to deal with the Hotswap-and-GH60-USB-Placement Issue but just make all the switches the same orientation?

I feel like there are still a few GB’s and such focused on it, but I’ve only been around a short time so I dunno what it was like before then.

PCB-mounted USB is pretty uncommon in 60%'s these days, though.

Oh dear, I made a bit of an impulse purchase. Saw what looked to me like a good deal on eBay, saw that it was already in multiple carts, and just pounced. It’s Maxi Switch.

I don’t even know what I’m going to do with this!

But it looks to be in really good condition so, if the switches feel decent, it would be cool to maybe figure out how to wire up the PCB to a QMK-compatible controller.

It’s a looker

It’s also a CHONKER

I’ve learned that, given how short life is, I only have time for chonkers.

Deep wisdom, IMO.

Most Cherry profile caps will bottom out on R3 ruining the sound and feel when the switches are oriented that way.

I bought Keychron Q3 QMK Custom Mechanical Keyboard ISO Layout
