What’s your opinion on the KFE? Wondering if I should join this new round.
I like the design, very simple with a nice side curve and dual bottom weights. Build quality seems great bar a hiccup with the CE run where the stepped caps lock cutout was borked (too close to the A key).
I won’t comment on the sound or typing feel just yet since I want to rebuild it with a non silent switch.
Really beautiful. The lines and proportions remind me of a TGR or a an OTD.
Susuwatari always gets an instant upvote from me. The bottom board looks awesome!
I had a surprise today. I accidentally dropped a box in which I keep old keyboards, and some of the keycaps flew away from them. But, to my shock, a keyboard that was not supposed to be a mechanical keyboard at all turned out to have individual switches! I had that keyboard for years, using it for things like Raspberry Pi or some server where I need to connect the keyboard for 10 minutes, because it was small and low profile. But the feel of it is so shitty that I never suspected it of being mechanical.
Yep good ole muchy Cherry ML!
This should be illegal.
I take it you’ve never tried Cherry MY then, those are a true crime against humanity!
I would be curious to see how the space bar is stabilized. Great find!
I don’t have anything nice to say about the switches or “integrated” stabilizers, so I’m not gonna comment
Ha, Thomas has a funny review of this very keyboard:
This is one of those times where a cheap sheet of domes might have made more sense.
Yes cross reference BTC 5100 for this done right.
Well, someone takes soldering health and safety seriously …
