We will see. She picked it based on the look, not the profile. It is my first time typing on it as well. I have tried regular SA at meetups and did not care for it. That was so long ago now, that it is hard to compare.
The little bit that I typed on last night, it felt nice. I think my first initial reaction was that it was really tall. I mostly type on Cherry profile without a wrist rest. My hunch is that my wife will be asking for a wrist rest in the future.

Happy Thursday everyone, here’s my desk today. My buddy just lovingly soldered this Discipline for me and I got it all spiffed up with GMK Oblivion, maybe my longest running favorite keycap set. Dollar for dollar, I find this board punches well above it’s weight (even if it doesn’t offer a split backspace, which is the correct layout)

What did you do for feet? Does the bottom have holes for those common alu. cone feet?

not the same guy, but IMO R3 SA is much nicer to type on that fully sculpted SA

In my experience, uniform R3 SA is much more pleasant to type on than regular SA.
But wrist rest is recommended.

Built up my voice65 today with some moyu blacks. I used the silicone dampener and the PC plate with case foam. Overall sounds and feels really nice. The one annoying thing is the space bar which sounds terrible very high pitched and pingy. Swapped out just the spacebar switch to a jwk linear which was a huge improvement.
The knob and side RBG bar are actually implemented really well and are useful and fun to play with.

Believe it or not it’s a really inexpensive PBT set on Drop that I’ve posted about before. For the price I think they’re the best on the market. Not a ton of compatibility, but enough, with more coming in the future.

I was hoping this new desk mat would match the yellows in NR but it’s not even close. This is my fault as, in retrospect, the renders were very much gold/mustard.
I think I’ll stick with it for a bit though, looks pretty cool imo.
