They are pretty tight but it improves the sound. In my book if it’s worth doing, it’s worth over doing.

Also riding the Thermal wave. I just adore typing on this bouncy plate. Wilba made a great board. I didnt want to make another red/black/red/black thermal, so I thought some contrast with the keycaps would be fun…not sure how I feel about the way it meshes. But, the board is ACE.

Final Fantasy themed keyboard mod for a friend of mine. Build log coming soon but here are a few details:
- Hexgears Impulse as a base
- Top plate wrapped w/ laminated print
- KBDFans modular foam
- PBT dyesub Cherry profile caps
- Milky white stabs
- BOX browns
- Swapped black bottom housings for white
- Custom pearl-white cable
I didn’t have the foresight to record it, but trust me when I say this thing sounded like a loose bucket of hot garbage out of the box - considering that, I think I did OK salvaging the sound.
The aesthetic theme is the main priority here, alongside being fullsize, RGB, and hot swap - all of that definitely limited options for a platform. I definitely wouldn’t have done a keyboard like this had a friend not specifically commissioned it, but I’m glad they did because it was a pretty neat building experience.

I was doing similar for a while with mouse on the right and Apple Magic Trackpad on the left, for swiping between desktops, scroling documents etc…

Lol, nah. A couple years ago I started developing some rsi issues in my right hand due to mouse overuse from work and also from playing video games in the evenings. So I started using a trackball with my left hand, and now I just swap between them throughout the day to help distribute the workload.

Nope, won’t be me. Exchanged my legenged ones with blanks to have it ship out. He told me just to order a new set of legend keycaps when they are on his storefront
