…is that a vintage gamer backspace???
you know it is
I’m trying to (and still don’t) like the planck (again). It’s so cute and this case has this nice wrinkle finish. I want to like it but 40% is just too small for me and the ortho thing just feels so clunky.
Returning to my Mode Eighty for a little bit, partly because I missed typing on Gazzew U4 Thocks but mostly because my partner has really taken to liking the Heavy-9 I just built and has swiped it off my desk. Thankfully there’s enough keebs to go around here
This made me smile because I also try Planck about once a year, and have the same experience every time! Lol.
I was able to use a Zlant for some time the stagger helps.
Hmmm maybe I’ll try that I have a zlant case and plate unbuilt around here somewhere but I didn’t get a case for it so I haven’t really done anything with it
You could sell it to me. I would give it a loving home (especially with that rarish case )
Haha I’ll keep u in mind. I’ve also used it as a macro pad when I needed a lot of keys
Blue QXP checking in! Do we need a KT blue QXP gang now?
Rebuilt recently, and was inspired in here, to snap a nice photo
This is such a classic, so happy I grabbed one.
Your photography is better than mine looks like a render.
Gotta be one of the nicest Mode80s I’ve seen. Big foreheads are underrated .
So, I’m trying out MT3 (BOW) on this fella: Up front, it’s nearly 1.5" to the top of the spacebar (woah!). It’s not uncomfortable for normal use, but I definitely would need a wrist rest for lengthy typing sessions.
I’m basically going the same build but with SA Snowcap. Is that the C or the M? I’m having trouble the sb right on my M. Using costar stabs and kbdfans sliders.
This is the M! Right now, the board has been transplanted into the Heavy-9 unmodified/untuned (excluding the keycaps, of course). So stock MX Blacks and stock stab conditions; and SB right is a tad looser than the left, but nothing wild or vexing.
What’s the trouble you’re having?
(PS. I’ll likely keep breaking-in this unmodified configuration until late summer or so, when I desolder and tune the entire kit.)
I’ve got the C obviously. Just getting the costar clips to stay in place and also the sb doesn’t return if I push it all the way into the slider
GMK lime is one of those sets that I thought was ugly when I first joined the community, but over time, its grown on me, love the matching artisan too.
