I recently built this board for my son, who is a senior in high school. After some testing of various switches and looking at different keycap designs, he decided he would like a cyberpunk-inspired board.
So we went with the NovelKeys NK87 Aluminum Edition in Nebula Pink (Batch 1 is heavily discounted right now and as it happens blue and pink are the only two colors left). The board itself is extremely nice for the discounted price. The only issue is that the stabilizers are kind of rattly, so you will need to relube/tune them.
The switches are Zelios V1 Redux, which are currently on sale at Zeal and are some of my favorite tactile switches. The keycaps are of course GMK Laser, but unlike when I first picked up a set of these years ago, I was able to get them pretty cheaply in stock at Drop.
Overall, very happy with how the board turned out.

If you look really closely, you can make out slight imperfections and layer lines. These do not bother me. Some of my injection-molded keycaps look worse.

It’s not my favorite board to-date, but being able to go full pinky on the backspace makes this one of my favorite layouts for sure. Both switches for the spacebar and enter key are either upside down or turned counterclockwise. I don’t love that. IMO, the feel and sound are negatively impacted when you do that. But, the white LED underglow through that thick silicon case pad makes for a very pleasant nightlight. Lol.

What PCB did you get? I know with hotswap, my spacebar has the switch flipped but if I flip the spacebar too… its ok 
My only gripe is that “|\” has top of my switch in the left orientation, and so my keycap is ever so slightly angled. I don’t think a person would notice… but I notice.

I got the hotswap BODO. Pooh. Like I appreciate all the flexibility in layouts, but I kind of feel the vendor is the big winner here – keeping inventory down by combing ANSI, ISO, and Tsangan layouts into a single PCB. It’s innovative sure, but every switch should somehow still be orientated in a uniform direction or weird things are gonna happen.

Introducing the Happy Hacking Keychain.
