What is on your desk today?

Love it, do you have a project site or something? Dont want to miss it

Thank you — currently I do not have a project page.

I share my ideas and projects here on KeebTalk, the Conical discord and my Instagram account.

I’m torn between setting up and maintaining a website, experimenting with Shopify, or starting (yet another) discord server. Likewise, I would appreciate any advice and feedback.

Have a great weekend.

My keyboards are always the same. Only keycaps and switches change, sometimes stabilizers.)
Can’t afford to buy keyboards often.

Wraith Dark is underrated and great contrast for the mirror polish.

My sentiments exactly. When both came up in-stock at the same time, I was like oh yeah that’s happening. Lol.

Love those colours! What are keycaps - Keychron?

Ah of course! I keep coming across the Twist and get excited until I see that its cherry profile…why is everything cherry?? 🫣 I suppose my wallet is quite happy that I don’t like the :cherries: profile

I share your unpopular opinion about Cherry profile! I tend to go for spherical profiles rather than cylindrical most of the time.

I’m assuming that that my years on Mac keyboards have me used to flat keycaps. But at the speed that I’m changing my taste in switches and sound, I’ll probably also change my taste in keycap profiles  for now the scarcity of XDA and XVX keycaps at least prevents me from buying more stuff :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

As my partner asked: “Just how many keycap sets do you intend to put on the one keyboard…?” :innocent:

Oh that’s interesting, I started in a similar spot and like XDA too, but found that I love the deep scoops and sculpt of the MT3 profile. It’s the polar opposite of laptop/Mac keys but feels very comfortable to me. I agree, that ruling out Cherry profile really lowers the risk of temptation!

On the other hand, if you want to burn some cash, KBDFans NP profile is similar to XDA and they have some nice quality PBT sets. It’s slightly taller, but the KAM profile may interest you as well.

If you’re interested in watching your partner’s brain derail in real time, reply “You’re right, this is ridiculous to have this many keycap sets for one keyboard. I should buy another keyboard!”

Thanks for the tips! I’ve found the smaller surface area with the sculpted/shaped keycaps make it harder for me to hit the right keys - apparently my aim is somewhat imprecise
Luckily none of the NP keycaps currently available appealed to me…phew :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
