What mouse do you use?

At least with my PC, I’ve also found this makes a huge difference. My old Mac laptop and not-too-ancient iPhone both work flawlessly with bluetooth at a surprising distance - but I had all kinds of trouble getting it to even work on my PC. I went through an internal card and two USB adapters with spotty performance at best… until I decided to try a not-even-serious / shits-and-giggles type of solution that ended up working really well. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just stuck one of those little USB guys on the end of a USB extension cable and ran that to the middle of the room… and darn if the bluetooth didn’t work perfectly after that - as long as I had that dongle a good distance away from the computer and other similar devices.

It kind of worked out the same way with me. I had some top panel USB connections on my PC tower. I figured I’d just put it there for a while until I figured something better. Instead, it turned out to be exactly the right place, although I’m learning the Motherboard doesn’t supply the two ports there with sufficient voltage to drive it and another high-draw device.

I’ve recently started switching between 3 different input devices depending on the task at hand.

Trackpad when I’m working, though I also use the Kensington Expert when I need to get my mouse across my UW quickly. I use the trackball exclusively when I’m on my personal desktop, and I’ll switch to the carbon fibre box with clicks + wheel when I game. I suppose you can say I’m about to add a 4th since I’m planning to enable mousekeys on a new keyboard I’m building

Magic Mouse 2. It’s the best bc it’ looks hilariously vulnerable while charging.

G Pro WIreless. Been using it for a few years and love it. Have to charge it like once every 4-5 days for a few minutes. If it’s low while I’m gaming, a 45 second charge will get it up to about 20% Crazy tech

What mouse is the one with the thumb scroll wheel?

You mean the one hiding behind the pink Momorenger statue? That’s an elecom deft with a Logitech m575 ball in it.

MX Master 3 with right hand, Kensington Slimblade on the left. I swap between them throughout the day to distribute the workload to ease the RSI issues that have been flaring up for me the last few years. Here’s an older photo from a couple months ago:

Logitech G102 Prodigy

I have it for more than 2 years, love the shape.
Can’t say it’s the most reliable/have durable buttons, after over 2 years it develops once in a while this issue where it stops holding sometimes, blowing air under the button cover seems to fix it, other than that it serves me well.

Highly recommend the G305 if you’re looking to upgrade! Great mouse

Funny, I’ve spend a considerable amount of money on different keyboards and parts but I’m very happy with the one and only mouse I have.
I’ll be sure to check it when I’ll need to change mine, thanks for the suggestion!

Yup. And attery life is really good + it’s pretty affordable!

I still use my Logitech MX Vertical day-to-day for work and regular browsing, but I’ve since added a G603 for gaming. I no longer having any wrist pain even if I use the G603 exclusively, but I don’t think I’ll permanently switch back to a non-vertical mouse. The ergonomic benefits of using the vertical have gotten me hooked.

Unfortunately, a few years into owning the MX Vertical the coating has started to wear off the same as has happened with all the Logi MX Master mice I had before. I’d really rather not spend $200 to replace the mice I have at home and work, has anyone here experimented with trying to re-coat or remove the coating from Logitech mice?

I’ve just applied some griptape cut to size on the most used/touched parts of the mouse. Works for me.

Oof. At least I’m not alone I guess.

I look at it now liked a well worn guitar. It’s beat up and ugly as sin, but the wear has made it more comfortable in my hands.
