They are a very dark brown, almost black. Here’s the comparison with R1 that is white on black:

Monsgeek M1 - preowned from r/mechmarket, came with a tape mod and SW x Haimu MP Tactiles.
Keycaps are Osume Mori.
This is the first board I’ve built with tactile switches and I definitely see the appeal. I don’t know how much the tape mod is contributing, but I really like the overall sound of this board.

Despite all of the keyboards I review, when I came across this Mchose GX87, I just fell in love. It is now my daily driver along with MT3 Camillo/Olivetti.

The travel board is finished. It’s not likely to become a daily driver, but it is fit for its intended use case. The half-height black switches are smooth and put up enough resistance that I don’t hate using them (though they are not converting me either). It’s quieter than anything else I have, fairly light, and it’s barely an inch thick, including keycaps and bumpons. It will be perfect for plopping down in a suitcase or backpack. The MCU didn’t like the latest version of CircuitPython, which I did not figure out right away, leading to a rather yucky looking solder job on a couple of the pins, but it all came together well using POG/KMK again. No 3D printing at all on this one, it’s all laser cut Masonite, maybe a dollar’s worth of raw materials for standoffs and the plates.
The Sinclair inspired keycaps are kinda variable in their intensity, same as the other set I did on white PBT blanks from Aliexpress, but they make me smile.

Super iconic board there too, OTD are some of the first true customs to show up!
While Dualshot would probably look much better on one of my black boards I really wanted to mount it on a board & use it some. So on to my TKL one it went as I am really loving the feel & sound of its current configuration
! It’s funny too cause I’m usually not a fan of so many different colors in a set, but for whatever reason Dualshot with it’s colored mods hits just right for me!

So rad. This reminds me a bit of my old PS1, which had a big gold sticker on the circular disc lid - the PSM mascot, which was like a smiley face with an eye-patch and a mischievous expression:
